Troubleshooting

Temporary files are being backed up onto my Iomega Quik Sync 2 Disk

Some programs create temporary files without signifying to the operating system that the files are temporary. To prevent these files from being backed up, you will need to add these types of files to the file exclusion list. You can modify this list by opening Iomega Quik Sync 2 software, selecting the Advanced tab, and clicking on the File Exclusion button.

There are files in my Iomega Quik Sync 2 source folder that are not being backed up

Iomega Quik Sync 2 cannot back up files after they have been locked by other applications. It will retry these files later, but they will only be backed up after the application has unlocked them.

I want to use a ZipCD disc with Iomega Quik Sync 2

In order to use a ZipCD drive with Iomega Quik Sync 2, Adaptec® DirectCD® must be installed. You can then target a ZipCD disc in Iomega Quik Sync 2 just like any other Iomega drive.

I'm getting the error message "Cannot change protection on disk in drive while it is in use"

If you getting the error message "Cannot change protection on disk in drive while it is in use. Quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of this drive," you should close all open applications and windows except Iomega Quik Sync 2. You will see this error message in Windows NT/2000® if you try to change the protection of a disk without closing all applications and windows that are currently accessing the disk.
